A half mile stretch runs through our River Valley site, offering the mobile angler very enjoyable sport. In summertime vigorous weed growth and shallow, clear water present more of a challenge. However, the adaptable angler should be able to overcome these obstacles and enjoy good sport seeking the chub, dace roach and perch on this prolific little river.
The River Blackwater contains Chub, Roach, Gudgeon, Dace and some Pike to mid 20’s and may be fished from the wooden fence near the entrance to the site through to the end of the main lake.
Suitable for most river tactics, although the venue is largely shallow with fast shallow runs into deeper areas.
Fish the deeper areas and glides for consistent sport and check out the over hanging trees and rafts for the Chub.
River Report - 16th June 2012
The river is accessable across it's full length, despite the landscaping that is happening on the site. Care should be taken during the week when the landscaping is taking place.
June 2009 to December 2009
The river can provide interesting sport in the deeper holes with Dace, Perch up to 1lb, Roach up to 2lb, Chub to over 5lb and very occasional Barbel to 7lb.
