Caught on 1st June 2010 and fishing on his own, he did well to get a good photo of the 31lb 0oz Koi, one of two known 30s at the small fishery. The fish came from under a overhanging tree on the island, and was tempted by a Mango & Peach Boilie with a piece of orange plastic corn.

  • FAS Fishing Rights Unchanged at River Loddon Carters Hill and Sindlesham Mill

Farnham Angling Society would like to reaffirm that it retains full fishing rights for the River Loddon at Carter's Hill and Sindlesham Mill and that there is no change to this venue which remains on the FAS permit for the 2010/2011 season. The Society is currently disputing a third parties claim to the fishing rights on a section of the river at this venue, on which FAS have held the fishing rights for over 60 years. The Society's solicitors are dealing with this matter and are confident that the matter will be resolved in due course.
Member's are requested to ignore any signs that may be put up by third parties claiming ownership of the fishing rights at this venue and to report any challenges to the Chairman, Richard Cane on 01252 - 721105.

  • Driver and Fishing Buddy Needed

Following the loss of his transport following an HGV hitting his car on the motorway and the insurance payout being insufficient to provide even a deposit on a replacement car, Mr George Hoskins would be extremely grateful if any members living close to the Carshalton area would be kind enough to consider giving him a lift to fish Farnham AS waters that they may be visiting themselves.
George usually fishes mainly for Carp on day trips, and he is equipped to stay overnight, but will be happy to visit any of the FAS fisheries. He has been an FAS member for 4-years and may be able to assist those who are new to FAS waters, but most of all he simply wishes to have the opportunity to fish with anyone who is able to help him at the current time. George will assist with travel costs and would be glad to discuss any offers that members are able to provide.
George looks forward to hearing from anyone that can help him, you can contact him on 020 - 8286 - 0578.
