New Carp Stockings At Stillwater Back Lake

FAS expands its line-up of premier Carp waters in the south of England with new stockings of English Carp in our Stillwater Back Lake fishery.

Farnham Angling Society is pleased to announce that it is further developing its line-up of premier carp fisheries with the stocking of English Carp into Stillwater Back lake.

The back lake, like its neighbour, the popular front lake already boasts as several 30lb carp, but to further improve the back lake's carp fishing and to improve carp fishing for members of all abilities, FAS have decided to stock a further 30 double figure English carp, carefully selected from Mark Simmonds and Priory fisheries.

FAS is also planning to monitor and remove the bream population of the lake to boost growth rates and to move the bream to more suitable waters.

The C4 (8-12lb) fish have been specially selected and it is hoped will put on weight and thrive in their new home - helped by careful management of the stocks of other fish and their environment to create a carp water suitable for specimen and less experienced carp anglers alike.

The new fish will be stocked into the back lake in late November 2006, please look after them and they will provide great fishing for decades to come.
