River Loddon - Stanford End This particular mile or so of the Loddon is arguably one of the best small river fisheries in the country. Classic swims from weirs and fast, gravelly runs to deep, slow glides and bends, Stanford End has them all. And with specimen fish to match, the river enthusiast could well think that this section alone is worth the price of a permit.
