The Who, What, When, Where and why….
Who needs to attend a teach-in?
Any member who wants to fish for Pike in any of Farnham Angling Society’s waters must first attend and pass the Pike Teach-in. This includes every guest, exchange and complimentary ticket holder. Even our bailiffs need to attend and pass, even if they have no intention of fishing for Pike, FAS bailiffs must know how to help anybody who may have any problems with a Pike on the bank.
The teach-ins are open to all anglers, if you currently fish for Pike or would like to. It doesn’t matter how old you are or even if you are a member – FAS’s Pike teach-ins are held on a number of dates every year by volunteers. They are completely free for all to attend.
Why do I need to attend a Pike Teach-in?
Pike fight hard and are quite delicate, especially when incorrectly handled. Farnham Angling Society’s Pike Teach-ins help teach you how to fish for Pike safely, giving you confidence to unhook and return the fish unharmed.
Remember: Entry to FAS Pike Teach-ins is free and open to all. You don’t even have to book to attend.
