Tench, Roach and Chub
Kings Pond has been developed as a water that will provide productive sport for our younger anglers and has already become a firm favourite with many of our members, whatever their level of experience.
This pretty little 16 peg fishery in the Badshot Lea Complex was a great success in the 2007-8 season. Lush green grass swims have lily pads on both sides and vegetation on the far bank. Generous stockings provide good sport in all seasons.
Hundreds of 8-10 once Crucians, loads of beautiful green, golden Tench to 2 lb 8 oz for the summer and autumn. Hundreds of Roach, Chub and Roach/Bream hybrids to 1 lb 8 oz for colder months. More accomplished anglers will catch huge bags of fish because it offers easy sport for our less experienced members and will be used to train and coach our juniors in float fishing. The downside to this popular venue is that you might have to get up early to secure a peg.

This venue is almost always fished with the pole or waggler and gives great sport from the smaller species, although the odd Tench or Barbel can prove very exciting on light tackle.
Frequent additions of small quantities of pellet or maggots is the preferred technique with the bulk of the fish patrolling the drop off to deeper water about 6 feet from the edge.

Off Lower Weybourne Lane, Badshot Lea,, Hampshire
From the roundabout (Shepherd and Flock) at the eastern end of the Farnham by-pass take the exit road sign posted Aldershot after 200m take the 2nd exit on the mini-roundabout sign posted to Badshot Lea and Trading Estate.
Pass Sainsbury’s superstore on your right, go straight across another mini-roundabout and continue about a mile to traffic lights.
Turn left into Lower Weybourne Lane. After about 0.25 miles turn right into the car park, immediately before the railway bridge and the Sea-Cadet hall.
Alternatively, approaching from the direction of Farnborough on the A325, turn left at Heath End between the Royal Arms public house and the petrol station.
Proceed down the hill, straight across the cross roads, and continue until you pass beneath the railway bridge and past the Sea Cadet hall on your left.
The car park is then immediately on the left.
A further car park is now available with access from the A324 Lower Farnham Road, the new car park has been built next to the existing pedestrian access gate to the Small Pond.
All parts of the Complex can be reached from the car parks. The waters can also be reached from Boxalls Lane along a footpath parallel with the railway line,
